ManOwaR Against MetallicA ::: Joey DeMaio ::: منووار ضد متالیکا ;کلا منووار و متالیکا ضد هم اند و اصلا اندیشه هایشان یکی نیست و زمین تا آسمان فرق دارد .
این مصاحبه جویی دی مایو از اعضای منووار است (ManOwaR ) که هم متن اصلی . هم ترجمه
وجود دارد , او شدیدا ضد متالیکا است:
آقای دی مایو نظرت راجع به متالیکا (METALLICA ) چیه؟
جویی : ببخشید , من کانتری موزیک ( COUNTRY MUSIC ) گوش نمی دم !!!
خیلی ها می خواستن بدانند چرا او این حرف را زد و بالاخره فهمیدند:
در سال 1999 در فستیوال خدایان متال ( Gods Of Metal ) منووار آهنگ Nessun Dorma
را برای هواداران ایتالیایی خود خواند , در حالی که متالیکا شب قبل آن را اجرا کرده بود ...
این باعث شد جیمز هدفیلد عصبانی شود و نسبت به آن ها اعتراض کند.( بعد ها نیز این آهنگ در
آلبوم Warriors Of The World قرار داده شد .

کلمه It برای ما دو معنی دارد : That’s It & Sh-it !
ما فکرات زیادی را بیرون می تراویم با ارزشی که هیچ باند دیگر به آن دست نمی یابد.

- One can accuse me of many things – and some things may be correct. There are
- things about me I don’t like myself – like for instance that I’m not a Mozart who
- writes new perfect songs everyday. And I do not have a box at home with ready-
- written demotapes which I could get out on demand. As much as I wished it was like
- that, the reality is different (2003)
- The bigger a band gets, the more enemies you have.. even more, when you’re called
- Manowar, hahaha ! (2003)
- We’re polarising, and with growing success the complaints grow as well. But in
- contrast to most of the other bands of our size we don’t bow under that pressure.
- We don’t mock about our fans and we’re not changing our image or style.
- About how many other huge bands can you say that? You’d rather see me die than
- going the way of certain other bands. And I mean it. I’d rather be dead! (2003)
- Every musician who ever played with Manowar took an oath to do our best to bring
- our music to as many metal-fans as possible. I’m not kidding.
- We took that holy oath many years ago and set the seal on it with blood. And we
- won’t break the oath for any kind of asshole! (2003)
- This is the way it's always going to be, you have people who are negative and you
- have people who are positive. You can't change that, you just have to do the best you
- can in life and be your own person and give 100 percent truth from your soul to your
- music, to your fans. That's all you can do. And fortunately, we have the greatest fans
- in the world.
- We throw a lot of ideas out, which have a quality other bands would never reach. But
- finally we are Manowar !
